Family engagement is a collective charge among families, educators, and communities to support children’s learning and development.

The term family engagement is not limited to the involvement of families in schools—it is much broader. 

Families, children and youth thrive when they have opportunities to explore and discover their interests in a variety of environments.

Children spend less than 25% of their time in school so the most impactful family engagement develops partnerships among community organizations, educational institutions, libraries, faith based organizations and most importantly family and their homes.
